This Privacy Policy explains how the Koshly app handles your information. Koshly is a fully offline personal finance app — your data never leaves your device.
1. Introduction
Hitesh Patel (“we”, “our”, or “us”) built the Koshly app (the “App”) as a free Android application. By using the App, you agree to the terms described in this Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the App.
2. About the App
Koshly is a personal finance app for tracking expenses, budgets, and savings goals. All processing happens locally on your device. The App does not require an account, login, or any personal information to function.
The App does not:
- Collect your name, email, phone number, or any personally identifiable information
- Access your contacts, camera, microphone, or location
- Store your data on any external server
- Share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Enter
Any transactions, budgets, categories, or notes you enter into the App are used solely to provide the App’s functionality. This data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.
3.2 Automatically Collected Data
Koshly does not currently use any analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDK. We do not collect any automatic usage data.
If a future version of the App adds an analytics or crash-reporting service, this section will be updated to name the service and describe what it collects before that update ships.
4. Third-Party Services
Koshly does not currently use any third-party service that collects data on our behalf. There is nothing to disclose here at this time.
5. Data Retention
We do not store any personal or financial data on our servers, because we don’t operate a server for the App. All data lives on your device for as long as the App remains installed, and is removed when you clear app data or uninstall the App.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. Since the App collects no personal data, it is safe for use by all age groups. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us immediately.
7. Data Security
Since the App operates entirely offline and does not collect or transmit personal data, there is minimal data security risk. The security of your locally stored data depends on the security of your own device (e.g., your device lock screen).
8. Your Rights & Choices
You have the following rights and choices regarding your data:
- Clear app data at any time through your Android device settings (Settings → Apps → Koshly → Storage → Clear Data).
- Uninstall the App at any time to permanently remove all of its local data.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, through an in-app notification.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
